10. Everyone gets along, because you're all there for the same reason. I've been to at least eight concerts, and I've never had any problems with fighting or crazy stuff like that. I've never had anything spilled on me either. That has to be some kind of record.
9. That one slow song where everyone holds up their lighters / phones. My friend and I decided to be creative and different, so instead of holding up our phones, we held up the lighter app on our iPods because yes, we are just that cool. :)
8. You forget about everything for two and a half hours. It's like a mini-vacation, without all the stress of packing and the super-long road trip. :)
7. You can be totally crazy and it's okay -- everyone else is too. If they're not, that's their loss and their fault if you accidently step on them. If they had been jumping too, their feet obviously wouldn't have been on the ground, and therefore not in your way. :P
6. The next day rolls around, and you're not even tired because you're still running on adrenaline. The last concert I went to was on the Friday before homecoming -- we had to be at school at 7:30 a.m. for the parade, and we were totally awake.
5. The energy is insaneeee. Yes, it's insane with three extra e's, because there's no other way to describe it.
4. Crowd sing-alongs. That is all.
3. You can sing as loudly (and as badly) as you want and no one will hear you or care. If they care, it's their fault that you sound like a dying cat -- if they had been singing too, they wouldn't have heard you. :] (clearly, if someone's being obnoxious or rude at a concert, everything that happens to them is THEIR fault because they are not having any fun!!)
2. The moment where you go to walk away and you can't because you've been jumping up and down for the past two hours. This is seriously the greatest / worst feeling ever. Greatest because you just had the time of your life, and worst because you feel like jello and people give you weird looks. :/ But it's all worth it!
1. The feeling when the concert ends and the lights come back on and you stand there, wondering what just happened. You can't walk, you can't hear anything, and your throat hurts, but it was pretty much just the greatest experience of your life and you'd do anything to rewind and see it all again. **This feeling usually only lasts for about 5-10 minutes because once you're actually walking back to your car, you realize how tired you really are and how far away you parked.**
There are tons of other little moments I could have picked for my list, like how on the way home you and your friend are screaming at each other because you can't hear, but I condensed it specifically for this blog. I hope you enjoyed reading it! :)
Sara,
ReplyDeleteI can obviously tell that you love concerts by your entry. I love how you chose to describe your top ten reasons for enjoying a concert. My favorite is definitely #1, because you pretty much had the greatest experience of your life, but then you unfortunately are forced back into reality way too fast. I also am shocked by the fact that you went to a concert before homecoming and went to the parade, the game, and dance, without passing out! I thought I was tired! Anyway, I love your blog title, we share the same movie, The Proposal, and of course, your fish are cute. I enjoyed reading your blog post and I can't wait to see what you post next!
I like how you express yourself and that you are so into music and that you can show it without anyone saying something to you. You are a very unique individual and don't change for anyone. I feel you there you can sing as loud as you can when you are at a concert and you can either sound bad or really good it doesn't matter what others think.
ReplyDeleteI love how you made this topic both informing and comical at the same time. You had alot of good examples to express, and you wern't afraid to show it! Your blog turned out great. Everything looks so neat! :)
